Davenport, Iowa – September 13, 2015 - Printing Impressions magazine, producer of the annual Gold Ink Awards, announced that Elanders Americas has won a Gold Award for the entry, WatchTime Hublot Special in the Specialty Magazines, Sheetfed category.
The WatchTime Hublot Special magazine was produced by Elanders Americas at their Atlanta, GA facility. Utilizing stochastic printing, Elanders was able to capture the elaborate detail of the watches on the finished printed product. A CMYK overlay process was paired with a single silver foil stamp resulting in the appearance of three varying colored foils.
"Combining stochastic screening with the foil process resulted in an absolutely stunning cover with a character and dimension that few printers can achieve," said Mickey Gulley, Chief Operating Officer at Elanders Americas. "Being recognized by our peers as a leading provider of high-end printed literature is an amazing accomplishment and one that we are very proud of."
This year's Gold Ink Award winners were chosen from more than 1,000 entries submitted within 50 different categories, including: Books, Magazines, Digital Printing, Commercial Printing, Packaging, Catalogs, Direct Mail, Brochures, Annual Reports, Calendars, Posters, and Potpourri.
Winning pieces were chosen based on print quality, technical difficulty, and overall visual effect.
